Native Americans used Chaparral for a variety of ailments including arthritis, cancer, venereal disease, tuberculosis, bowel cramps, rheumatism and cols. Chaparral is also in common use as a blood purifier.
Chaparral is Antimicrobial, Anti tumor, and has high anti oxidant activity on account of it's principal component nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA). NDGA has been found to exert an inhibitory effect on tumor cells.
Chaparral provides antimicrobial, antioxidant, and antispasmodic effects and is especially effective against skin bacteria.
Chaparral has been traditionally used for rheumatism and colds.
Directions:
Steep 2 teaspoons 2 times per day in 8-12 ounces hot water for 10-15 minutes and drink as a tea. Can be sweetened with a natural sweetener such as honey.
