Make a Decoction with 1oz bark to 1 1/2 Pints of water. Simmer down to 1 pint, strain & cool. Take 1-2 fl oz 3-4 times daily.
A Decoction differs from making a tea infusion. To make a Decoction the herb is combined with water in a small pot and brought to a boil. The mixture is then simmered slowly for 15-30 minutes or sometimes simmered until the amount of liquid is reduced by a specified amount. The resulting liquid extract is strained and sweetened if desired and then used according to the instructions.
